Inspiration
Rodrigo Borgia, born in 1431, was the noble nephew and adopted son of Pope Calixtus III, who took him to Italy to give him the best humanist education of the age. He had an extensive ecclesiastical career (to the point of becoming Pope Alexander VI in 1492). He was a great patron of the arts, protected many artists and modernised the Vatican's administration.
The Rodrigo scented candle is set in deep purple hand-blown glass. Its diagonal engravings interspersed with smaller engravings transport us to the splendour and refinement of Italian palaces.
Fragrance
Its sophisticated fragrance of patchouli, coriander and tonka bean is reminiscent of the character it embodies.
